Sure, it sucks at first to lose your 20's, but in another sense it ends up giving you the feeling of resetting the clock a little bit. 30 feels younger than 28 right now, for example. Despite settling down to buy a house and have a kid with my wife, I am more immature than ever and I just turned 30 last year.

She was around during the life of Queen Victoria, for example. She lived during the time of the Ottoman Empire and saw it end when she was nearly thirty. When she was thirty, Vladmir Lenin died. Imagine all the things that happened between Lenin's death and now. Transpose the years of your life so far, and imagine how much things can change in the future, and all the new experiences you can have.

I certainly know that 114 would be far too many years for me, I wonder if at the end she actually wanted more time or merely thought, "It is enough".
Having seen older people who didn't take care of themselves much (much like myself), I am thinking it will be enough for me somewhere in my 60's, but we'll see how that goes. Hopefully, as you mention, the blur of events will be interesting as it passes me by.

They're such a large subset of the populace that they get to define reality purely because of their very existence. Baby Boomers feel shitty about getting old/dropping their values and hence they get to define <Some Age> as the new <Other Age>. Personally, I can't wait till they start trying to redefine the senior stereotype as sexy.
